Funding

Only minor funding has been necessary so far to cover admin costs and to subsidise activities and transport, but if we are to progress further and support more people and open a base for training and inside social activities where people can go on a daily basis, we will need serious funding. There are no saleries being paid, all time is being given voluntarily.

15th February 2008.  A grant application has been submitted to the Norfolk Community Foundation and we are awaiting the outcome.

14th March 2008. Good news, the Norfolk Community Foundation has given us a grant towards activities and transport.

1st March 2008.  A grant application has been submitted to The Griffon Area Partnership for their consideration.

10th March 2008.  Griffon Area Partnership have informed us that grants for the year 2008 have already been allocated. We will try again at the end of the year.

4th May 2008.  A grant application has been submitted to Awards For All.

7th May 2008.  A grant application has been submitted to the Allen Lane Foundation.

26th May 2008.  Unfortunately after a promising initial response our grant application to the Allen Lane Foundation was not fruitful.

5th July 2008.  A grant application has been submitted to The Paul Bassham Charitable Trust

10th August 2008.  A grant application has been submitted to the Norfolk Community Foundation for a second grant, this time to cover 3 years.

13th August 2008.  Unfortunately our application to 'Awards for all' was unsuccessful due to a technicality, ie. at least three of the governing body have to be unrelated. The trustees were changed about a month ago which would have made this ok but apparantly it was too late. We will re-apply.

20th September 2008.  Unfortunatly our grant application to the Norfolk Community Foundation was unsuccessful.

2nd October 2008. Good news our grant application to the Paul Bassham Charitable trust was successful.

3rd November 2008.  A grant application has been submitted to the Geoffery Watling Charity for their consideration.

17th November 2008. Unfortunately our grant application to the Geoffrey Watling Charity was unsuccessful.

3rd December 2008.  A grant application has been submitted to the Norfolk Community Foundation for their consideration.

18th December 2008.  Good news, our grant application to the Norfolk Community Foundation was successful. Our largest grant so far.

16th February 2009.  A grant application has been submitted to ' Awards For All ' for their consideration.

1st April 2009. Although a lot of time and effort was put into the application to ' Awards For All ' it was unsuccessful due to them requiring public liability cover which we cannot afford.

27th November 2009.  A grant application has been resubmitted to ' Awards for All ' for their consideration.

19th December 2009.  A grant application has been submitted to the Paul Bassham Charitable Trust for their consideration.

21st January 2010.  The grant application to ' Awards for All ' for our boat project was successful .
